I have been joining up with painters Tommy and Manuel to do some informal life drawing sessions with the beautiful greek Sandra, really enjoying going back to traditional observation, making imagery for the enjoyment of it, rather than for some University HOOP JUMP. Loverly.

Clever Cloggs

A new commission from Tutoring Agency 'Clever Cloggs'.

To produce illustrations for website/flyer and general company

 branding, a similar project to 'Jeeves and Jemima'.

These are just a few of the works in progress, collaging with fabrics. 

               

J. Morgan Puett

Discovering J. Morgan Puett, incredible Fine Artists/designer/collector. 

Her website is here a beautiful treasure trove of projects. 

She used to make clothes and sell them in NewYork during the 80's and 90's..

"When her fifth and final store closed in 1997, she petrified all the remaining clothes in beeswax and transformed them into still-lifes."

Now she runs a Art colony in Pennsylvania, a beautiful place with 96 acres of land and outbuildings.. read about it and her incredible collecting here. 

Nek Chand's rock garden

                               

He started building the garden in secret 36 years ago, whilst keeping a full time job as a transport officer the garden was built at night and hidden for over 18 years. By the time government authorities discovered it, his work had grown into 12 acres of beautiful mosaics and sculptures all created with found materials he picked up during the day. Its incredible to think what can be achieved whilst holding down a normal dull job.

The area in Chandigarh, India, has now been made into a protected park and next february there is a chance me and a couple of friends will be working there for a month to help maintain it. Incredibly excited by the prospect!
